Your Invisalign Journey at Millbank Dental Centre

Initial Consultation

We start with a thorough examination of your teeth and bite. We'll discuss your smile goals, determine if Invisalign aligners are the right treatment for you, and answer any questions you may have. We often use digital scanning technology to create precise 3D images of your teeth – no messy impressions needed!

Custom Treatment Plan

Using the 3D scans and sophisticated software, we create a customized digital treatment plan (sometimes called a ClinCheck®). This plan shows the projected movement of your teeth step-by-step and allows you and your dentist to preview your future smile.

Receiving Your Aligners

Once your plan is finalised, your custom-made Invisalign aligners are fabricated. You'll receive your first few sets, along with instructions on how to wear and care for them.

Wearing Your Aligners

You'll wear each set of Invisalign aligners for typically 1-2 weeks before moving on to the next set in the series. Aligners should be worn for 20-22 hours per day for optimal results.

Monitoring Progress

You'll visit Millbank Dental Care periodically (usually every 6-8 weeks) so our team can monitor your progress and provide your next set of Invisalign aligners.

Completion & Retention

Once you've worn your final set of aligners, your teeth will be in their new, beautiful positions. To maintain your results, we will discuss retention options, such as Vivera® retainers (also made by Invisalign), which are crucial for preventing your teeth from shifting back.
